The National Democratic Congress` (NDC) Manifesto Spokesperson on Gender Inclusion and Social Protection, Shamima Muslim, has said the flag bearer for the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is not a leader who accepts responsibility when things go wrong.
Speaking in an interview on Starr 103.5 FM, Muslim stated that Dr. Bawumia, who is also the current Vice President, is a core member of the ruling government, and has not accepted responsibility for the economic mismanagement in the country. This, she said makes Bawumia unfit to be the next president of Ghana.
Her comment was in response to Bawumia`s earlier claim that he is a ‘Tear-Rubber President’ (new) while former President John Dramani Mahama is a ‘Second-Hand (used) President.
“Did he just drop from Mars?”she retorted. “He is the vice president and a part of the team ruling the country,” Muslim emphasized.
She further mentioned, “Dr Bawumia is not a team player, he cannot accept liabilities of the failures of his own administration and this does not make him a leader therefore should not attempt being a President.”
“A leader who cannot accept responsibility for the failings of the team is not a team player and should go nowhere close to the presidency,” she said.
